Kurz vor der Bundespräsidentschaftswahl präsentiert das Theater Nestroyhof Hamakom die Filmemacher und die Protagonistin des Films „Bock for President“, der ganz gewisse, im Wahlkampf eingeforderte "Werte" sichtbar macht:

Die Filmemacher Houchang und Tom-Dariusch Allahyari begleiteten zwei Jahre lang die Wiener Flüchtlingshelferin Ute Bock bei ihrer Arbeit aber auch ganz privat mit der Kamera. Das Ergebnis ist eine sehr intime Annäherung an Ute Bock sowie an die Schicksale von Asylwerbern, die im Film zu Wort kommen. Menschen, für die sich keine Stelle zuständig fühlt, und die ohne die Arbeit von Frau Bock mittellos auf der Straße sitzen würden. Im Rahmen des Hamakom-Salon werden Bock und die beiden Allahyaris Beweggründe für den Film und teilweise noch nie gezeigte Szenen im Gespräch mit Claus Philipp diskutieren.

Just in time for the presidential elections in Austria, Theater Nestroyhof Hamakom presents filmmakers and protagonist of "Bock for President" a documentary which sheds light on the so-called "values" being tossed about in the campaign.

With their camera, filmmakers Houchang and Tom Dariusch Allahyari accompanied the Viennese activist for refugees, Ute Bock, for two years, at work and in private. The result is an intimate portrait of Bock and the asylum seekers whose voices are heard here. People for whom noone feels responsible and who without Ute Bock's efforts would land penniless, on the streets.

In the Hamakom Salon, Ute Bock and the Allahyaris reveal their motivations in making the film and show previously unseen scenes in a discussion with Claus Phillip.
